Fartos de toda a merda que acontece no mundo do design oftalmologico, em 2008 os dois senhores – Jacob Kilsgaard e Henrik Bonnelycke juntaram se para lancar a marcar Kilsgaard. Uma marca Keep it Simple. Literalmente, ele mantem as coisas simples em tudo o que fazem. Com duas declaracoes ousadas no seu website, estes dois homens mostram o seu descontentamento com a maneira como o business em geral e gerido – para eles nao e so as pessoas que o gerem mas todo o design maluco que tem saido nos ultimos anos. Por isso eles mantem as coisas simples, eles sao directos, eles sao ousados e dizem nos exactamente o que vai nas suas cabecinhas. Mesmo assim, eles desenham oculos maravilhos, classicos que nao sao direccionados a nenhuma idade em particular e apelam pela sua simplicidade classica e as suas cores naturais.

Agora, podemos encontrar esta marca em todo o mundo e podemos ate seguir as novas aberturas de lojas pelo blog deles (ligado ao website). No entanto eles tem em atencao em nao tornar as coisas grandes de mais – eles querem ser sempre fieis aos seus principios o que neste mundo e cada vez mais dificil de encontrar.

Sick of all the bullshit in the eyewear business it was in 2008 that Jacob Kilsgaard and Henrik Bonnelycke launched Kilsgaard. A Keep it Simple brand. Meaning they keep it simple in everything they do. With two bold statements in their official website, there two men state their discontent with the way the business is lead not only by the people in it but with the crazy designs we have been seeing in this last few years. So they keep it simple, they’re starighfoward, they’re bold and tell you what’s on their mind. Still, they design fabulous classic eyewear that is meant for no age in particular but appeals for its classic simplicity and true natural colors.

Currently you can find their stores all over the world, and you can even follow their openings in their blog (connected to their website). However, they are carefull about not making it too big – they want to always stay true to their belifs which in today’s world is incresingly important.
